Who we are

Our superpowers — clarifying shared direction, designing effective teams, evolving systems and structures, and mobilizing teams to drive change — come from an ongoing obsession with finding what works.

In our work, we draw on a variety of complementary principles, practices, models, and theoretical lenses, including:

  • Organization design

  • Participatory change

  • Agile coaching

  • Organization development

  • Group Facilitation

  • Self-management

  • Leadership development

  • Design thinking

  • Systems thinking

  • Team coaching

  • Applied complexity

  • Adult learning

  • Vertical development

Who Thrives at Plural

We know that there isn’t one path to this work, and value diverse experience and perspectives. That said, generally speaking, we find that our ideal collaborators have solid experience in these areas:

  • …focused on scaled transformation, organization design and/or organization development

  • …with experience applying these in teams/groups and one-on-one with executive leaders

  • …trusted, longer-term advisory relationships with executive leaders

But why do they choose to join Plural, or remain a part of our network? Over time, they’ve helped us understand what’s truly unique about being part of our team.

  • We work across large enterprises, local non-profits, unconventional scale-ups, and self-managed organizations.  Our Sponsors + partners range from Boards, to CEOs and executive leadership teams, middle managers, and frontline team members. Experience with, and appreciation for, working in a variety of these organizational contexts tends to make for a good fit with Plural.

  • A lot of our work involves ‘figuring it out as we go’ with teams and leaders. That means not having the answer, or even being wrong, in front of/with people we’re helping. If you thrive on being the expert, or prefer delivering pre-designed workshops, then we might not be the best fit.

  • We’ve found that real, sustainable change happens when we attend to the development of individuals and teams AND the intentional design of team and organizational structures and systems that support new ways of thinking and behaving. Folks with a propensity for design, or facility in design thinking, tend to thrive at Plural.
